Day 1

Place & Transport: Hanoi arrival, transfer from the airport to hotel (Flight is not included).

Activities: Relax and shopping, water puppet show. 

Meal: Welcomed dinner.

Detailed Itinerary:

Our tour guide & driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. If time permits, we will have a brief city tour in Hanoi visiting: the Old Quarter, and Hoankiem Lake.
Welcome dinner in a fine restaurant hosted by Vietkim Travel.
Evening highlight will be a Water Puppet Performance – the unique form of Vietnamese art derived from wet rice civilization of South East Asia.

Day 2

Place & Transport: Overnight in the train to Lao Cai.

Activities: Visit some famous sites in Hanoi.

Meal: Breakfast.

Detailed Itinerary: 

Enjoy a personally guided city tour where Hanoi’s rich history will be unraveled and local life revealed, including a traditional cyclo tour through the narrow ancient streets of the exotic Old Quarter.

The highlights of the tour today include:

* Hochiminh Complex

* The temple of Literature

* The museum of Ethnology

In the evening  board the overnight train to Lao Cai near the Chinese border.

Day 3

Place & Transport: Sapa

Activities: Trekking, visit ethnic minorities.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch.

Detailed Itinerary: 

Arrive early morning and head into the hills of Sapa.  Navigate small paths into valleys and along rivers, passing through small ethnic minority hill tribes such as the Black H’mong. They are proud of their culture and still keep their traditions and way of living, including their own language and traditional indigo blue, embroidered clothing.  This evening, either hike into Ta Van village and stay overnight with a local family or return to the comfort of a hotel in Sapa.

Day 4

Place & Transport: Overnight on the train from Lao Cai to Hanoi.

Activities: Visit Red Dao, waterfall, trekking and explore the local markets. 

Meal: Breakfast

Detailed Itinerary:

Today visit the Red Dao people, stopping at a waterfall along the way. The Red Dao women wear colourful red embroidery and coins on their clothing and red scarves on their heads. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a Red Dao Legend. Afternoon at leisure in Sapa to explore local markets before boarding the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 5

Place & Transport: Halong Bay

Activities: Cruising, kayaking

Meal: Breakfast

Detailed Itinerary: 

After an early traditional breakfast drive east to Halong Bay. With more than a thousand limestone peaks rising up from its emerald waters, this area is one of five World Heritage-listed sites in Vietnam. Spend the rest of the day exploring limestone caves, relaxing on the deck, swimming, or kayaking in secluded lagoons, followed by a seafood feast for dinner.

Day 6

Place & Transport: Flight to Hue

Activities: Swimming, visit cave in Halong Bay.

Meal: Breakfast

Detailed Itinerary:

Wake up to the sun rising over the bay and enjoy an early morning swim, followed by breakfast and a visit to a spectacular cave. In the afternoon transfer to the airport and fly south to the ancient town of Hue.

Day 7

Place & Transport: Hue

Activities: Visit some tourisrt sites in Hue City, boating along the Perfume River.

Detailed Itinerary:

The cultural capital of Vietnam is rich with history, culture and religion. Spend the day exploring the Citadel, home to the Royal Palace and Forbidden City (now a UNESCO World Heritage site) before a sunset cruise along the Perfume River.

Day 8

Place & Transport: Transfer from Hue to Hoian.

Activities: Walking, visit tourist sites and handicraft village.

Meal: Breakfast

Detailed Itinerary:

After breakfast,drive to Hoi An via the coastal Hai Van Pass, visiting the Cham museum along the way. Afternoon in Hoi An at leisure to shop at the tailors or relax on the beach.

Day 9

Place & Transport: Hoian

Activities: Relax, shopping.

Meal: Breakfast

Detailed Itinerary:

From the 16th to 18th centuries, HoiAn was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, and Portuguese and Arab traders. These people came primarily to trade in highgrade silk, which is still produced in the area, as well as ceramics.
Today, HoiAn is a quaint riverside town, popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailor shops, and numerous cafes. Some of the buildings in the narrow streets have remained unchanged for more than a century. We enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge.
After lunch we take a short boat trip to a nearby island to visit a handicraft village specializing in ceramics, and also the boat building yards. Hoi An is now one of UNESCO's fifth World Heritage designated sites in Vietnam. Then, back to your hotel. Evening free at leisure.

Day 10

Place & Transport:  Flight to Hochiminh

Activities: Visit Hochiminh tourist sites

Meal: Breakfast

Detailed Itinerary:

Free until transfer to airport for flight to Saigon.
Arrival Saigon, pick up and transfer to your hotel.
Afternoon you will have a city tour visiting the central post office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, BenThanh market.
Rest of the day we suggest you tour Saigon’s down town with it’s many gift shops and galleries.

Day 11

Place & Transport: Hochiminh

Activities: Boating, visit handicraft village, visit floating market.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch

Detailed Itinerary:

Our driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and we will drive to Cai Be. The program will start with the visit of Cai Be’s colorful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. Then, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where you can see how rice paste, coconut candy, and pop-rice pop-corn is made.

Visit the handicraft village where you can see how they make rice-net for spring-rolls, fish sauce and Soya sauce, cooking salt, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage proof.
A delicious lunch will be served at an ancient house over 170 years old or under the shade of local orchards on An Binh Island
After lunch, a traditional rowboat will take you deeper into the countryside on small canals to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You’ll see the traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and the activities of the local farmers to see how they catch fish or pick up fruits using the ancient customs of the Mekong Delta.
Another stop can be made at a nursery garden where you will discover how the growers of the Mekong Delta produce their world famous fruits and vegetables.   You can meet Mr Tiger and his son who are successful in Vietnam agriculture. We will enjoy different types fruit from his garden and homemade rice wine while listening to traditional music
The cruise will end at around 3.30 PM in Vinh Long town. Then we will drive back to Saigon.

Day 12

Place & Transport: Transfer from your hotel in Hochiminh to Tan Son Nhat Airport (Flight is not included)

Activities: Free on your own

Meal: Breakfast

You will be driven to the airport for your flight out of Vietnam.
