
Day 1: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong National Park |

Depart for Cuc Phuong National Park, an area of limestone cliffs and wild, tropical forest 160km to the south of Hanoi. Upon arrival, visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre and the Botanic Garden, where visitors can see some of the 1,880 species of flora that exist in the park. OVERNIGHT IN THE PARK GUEST HOUSE. |

Day 2: Cuc Phuong - Trekking – Ninh Binh (B) |
|
Early morning drive to Bong Station where we go on a bird-watching walk through the forest. The 6km trail passes through giant trees, some of which are over 1,000 years old. In the afternoon, visit a cave once inhabited by pre-historic peoples. Drive to Ninh Binh, stopping en route at Hoa Lu to visit temples dedicated to two ancient Vietnamese kings. OVERNIGHT IN NINH BINH. |

Day 3: Kenh Ga – Van Long – Sampan ride – Hanoi (B) |

In the morning drive to Kenh Ga, a secluded floating village in Ninh Binh surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs and caves. Travel serenely through the village by boat witnessing fishing scenes, children being ferried to school and everyday life along the riverfront. After lunch take a one-hour sampan boat ride on the Van Long reservoir followed by a visit to Dich Long pagoda. Return to Hanoi in late afternoon. End of services.
